Sitting on my Porch in Albany...Georgia that is...
Just drove down from Macon and have to leave to go load in the show in a half hour (early morning show tomorrow)...but just wanted to let y'all (that's a southern expression, by the way) know just how happy I have been having my car with me on tour.
One of the main reasons is that I am seeing all of the countryside that I am going through as opposed to sleeping while on the bus.
But the main reason so far is because I can drive with my windows open (weather permitting)! I have been very impressed with the amount of pine trees in the state of Georgia...also that mixed with the smell of the cotton on the way down was a special treat.
This was the first time that I remember actually seeing fields of cotton...why it struck me as it did, I don't know...but I was really tickeled to see acres of the stuff growing...coming from the heartland I'm used to seeing fields of corn and other agricultural goodies growing but the cotton just struck me. Cann't explain it...and I'm not gonna try.
Even though I'm postng pics from Florida and did enjoy my time there (although 5 weeks was a bit excessive) I am so happy to have been up in North Carolina and now Georgia...where it feels (and looks) like the fall. I've seen some changing colors...but not like back home.
Oh well...gotta get ready for work...I'll post some more pics and maybe another entry tonight.

Vjecnaja Pamjat
In blessed repose, grant, O Lord, eternal rest to the souls of Your servants, and remember them forever. Eternal memory; eternal memory, grant, O Lord, to Your servants blessed repose and eternal memory.
For the memory and the soul of Elmer Chaky.
You are always in my heart and by my side.
I'll miss you.
...what can I say?

A Day Off!
The last two weeks have been rather busy since we've had two split weeks in a row. After Orlando we went down to West Palm Beach (where I was for my birthday) after that we really didn't have a real "day off" in two weeks as we played in Gainesville, Tampa Bay, Daytona Beach and Tallahassee. Although Florida was enjoyable and relatively hurricane free...we were down there for 5 weeks, and it was a very happy moment when I crossed over the state line into Georgia yesterday on my way to Charlotte, NC (nice city by the way).
I have some nice pictures to post from the last couple of weeks including my side trip to Charleston, SC yesterday.
Last week was also fun in the fact of when I was in Daytona Beach, I woke up in great pain...after going to work I was told to go to the hospital (the only show that I've missed thus far)...well it turns out that I have (had) a kidney stone. I was back for the evening performance and for the following load-out. Luckily I haven't had any worse pain from when I woke up on Wednesday morning...and hopefully it broke up in my bladder so that I don't have to experience any "birthing pains".
Hope that everyone's doing well.
