Suitcase Shopping

T-MINUS 6 DAYS
I spent yesterday visiting with my Uncle Elmer who has been having some resperatory problems and hasn't been able to get out much...it was wonderful getting a chace to spend some time with him before leaving.
After that I went shopping for suitcases to use on tour. After spending a lot of time at Burlington and Target I ended up picking up a nice 5 piece set at Kohl's. Although it doesn't have everything that I might like...I don't need to travel extravagently and I got 5 pieces for the price of 1 of the nicer bags. I wanted to get the blue set but the zipper wasn't working well on the one piece...so I settled for red luggage...hopefully it'll be easier to find...besides since Elmo's my new boss, I guess that I could do worse than to have red luggage. Should I make it furry now?
I'm trying to do some more cleaning up and then I'll join a few friends out tonight.
I'm just looking forward to getting things started.

The Christmas Post Strikes Back!

I tried doing this earlier and my computer froze up on me...now that I've moved inside I hope it warms up to the idea that I want to post something to my blog!

Onwards and upwards!

Mr. Peabody: "Sherman, set the WayBack machine to 2:00AM December 26, 2004."
Sherman: "But Mr. Peabody, that's less than three days ago..."
Mr. Peabody: "Quit your whining you little shit and set the machine! We need to get something posted."
Sherman: "But I thought that the WayBack Machine was to be used for learning from history..."
Mr. Peabody: "If I had opposable thumbs I'd be able to set the machine myself...and then I'd go back to your
conception date and send your father fishing...or I'd take care of business my self. NOW SET
THE MACHINE LIKE I TOLD YOU!!!"
Sherman: "yes sir...Mr. Peabody, sir..."
Christmas was very enjoyable this year...it reminded me of a song that was one of my favorites this season...Love and the Lights by Rockapella
I know what I will find,
all the love and the lights laughter fills the air
all the warmth and the time are gifts for us to share
the memories to be made all the special things we say
are the things that keep me coming home at Christmas Time.
What was nice about getting together for Christmas this year was that most everyone wanted to stick around and enjoy each other's company and not just visit for a short time...which made it even more special since I won't be around for the next few months.
A special highlight of the evening was playing darts in the basement and having my niece Amy who doesn't throw darts decide to join us for a game. For her first throw she says"Everybody watch me...I'm gonna throw a Bull's Eye!" And she did! A double bull no less! Granted her throwing after that wasn't very good...but for that one throw no one could beat her!
I didn't get much for Christmas this year...but then again I didn't ask for that much...mostly just Gift Certificates from Starbucks and Borders that I can use on the road.
I hope that everyone had and enjoyable holiday with safe travels and may we all have a blessed, safe, prosperous and Happy 2005!
Special thanks to Mr. Peabody and Sherman for the ability to repost the things that I remember from my initial Christmas post

Ouch

I'm trying to get used to this...
I had posted a Christmas entry that said everything that I wanted to say.
I went to do a spell check and ended up wiping out my whole post!

So maybe I'll try to come up with it again...

In the meantime...it's 2:50 AM...I'm not gonna try it now.

But MERRY CHRISTMAS and GOD BLESS US EVERYONE!

The Start of Something Big

Could this be?
Well...first off, thanks to Keli for starting to blog again and using blogger.com - they make it easy for you to start a blog of your own and I can now get this set up to keep in touch with everyone while I join the Sesame Street Live Tour of Elmo's Coloring Book as the Wardrobe Assistant.
Big thanks to the recently married Mr. David Glowe Jr.!

I'm so incredibly happy that Keli has returned to the blog scene as she is a wonderful and special person...and her view of the world around her is just soooooooo damn entertaining!
Check her out at www.notarockstar.com she's just starting out again...can't wait to see what's happening in her life now. I wish her the best of luck in everything that life has to offer!

T-Minus 8 days
As I mentioned earlier I'm leaving town on January 3, 2005 to join the Sesame Street Live Tour in Omaha, NE. I am working to get things in order in my personal life (car insurance, taxes, AAA membership...etc.) so that I CAN leave town for 6 months. I'm really looking forward to getting started with this new job and the adventures that are in store.

I know that I join up in Omaha and then go to Lincoln (NE), St. Louis, Minneapolis, Sioux City (IA), Kansas City (MO), Dallas, Houston and Austin through January and February...although I don't where else exactly that I'll be in the next six months...I know that we'll be going through Las Vegas, L.A. and ending up in Hawaii in June! I'm looking forward to taking pictures of the places I visit in my spare time and sharing them with everyone.

I hope that I can update a lot and that you'll come back to see what I've been up to.
