Well...not so much missing as not having been taken. Last night after our two shows and loading out I decided to drive home to spend a few days before having to be in Detroit. Well...it was definately a no goofing around kind of trip...from the Angola rest stop through getting to 271, I used all of my concentration on staying on the roadway through gusting winds and nightime white-outs. It took a bit over four hours...which wasn't too bad at all...I even came close to going the speed limit a couple of times! But I made it home a bit after 1am and was happy to sleep in my own bed for a change.
I also want to take this opportunity to give a BIG THANK YOU to Ed and Mary Ann Koch who allowed me to stay with them during my week in Buffalo...they are friends whom I met on the Delta Queen (with the River Rats bunch...in fact they're part of that group as well!). Your kindness and hospitality mean a great deal to me...it's great that Mister Mayor is doing so well...it's good to hear his laugh and see that mischevious smile in his eyes! I will definately make time this summer to come up for a visit and actually play tourist! Maybe Delilah will warm up to me next time...ya think?

p.s. glad you made it home...I'm sure at times it was like a few Christmas' ago...thankfully safe this time.
Tim, It was a pleasure for us to have you. Delilah went looking for you again this morning for she wanted to have her morning petting and she was looking to try and wake you up. I'm just glad the weather held and Dad was able to go out with us for a little bit.
We all are looking forward to your next visit but plan on doing a baseball game. Have a safe trip to Detroit and you are always welcome at our home.
Love ya, Mar
PS the lerftovers were just as good as the first time when you made us dinner.
It was great to spend some time with you.(Especially at the Rhapsody) Thanks for getting the tickets for our family. Glad Dan & Donna had room for you while you were in Detroit.
